our charity
St John's Hospice, Wirral
Proceeds
from the Merseyside Supporters Tournament in 2008 will be
donated to our main charity for this year, St Johns Hospice,
Wirral.
The aim of St John’s Hospice is to warmly welcome people with
progressive illness, which has failed to respond to curative
treatment, The quiet, calm and highly professional and
caring atmosphere comforts both them and those who are important
to them.
The Hospice provides services in Inpatient, Outpatient and Day
Care arenas. The aim is to provide a specialist palliative care
service through a multi-professional team approach. The
multi-professional team assesses and works collaboratively to
enhance the physical, psychological, spiritual and social areas
of peoples’ lives.
All proceeds from the entry fees, donations and collection boxes will be donated to St Johns Hospice. Hopefully the money we can all raise will go some way to making a difference and helping them to continue their fantastic work.

Shaftesbury Youth Club
As with the previous two years, the pitches and facilities have been kindly donated to us by Shaftesbury Youth Club. The staff from the youth club will be selling hot and cold food and drinks all day for the tournament. Proceeds from these will be donated to Shaftesbury Youth Club so that they can continue their valued work in the local commuinity.
About Shaftesbury:
